Summer Season Downunder

October 05, 2015

We get nursed through the winter months by staying up to late here in Oz watching the action from the Northern Hemisphere.  So we start to get a bit excited come September/October when the weather turns here in Melbourne and the cycling and triathlon seasons start to kick in!

It's really a marvellous calendar these days. Great organisers like Supersprint, Start to Finish and Ironman  give us an amazing suite of tri events from Sprint to Ironman distance, a number of which go past our Black Rock shop's front door!  And they cater for beginner through to pro  - its a real buzz.

The cycling season is also now truly amazing here.  The Tour Down Under is the world tour event and well worth a trip to Adelaide, while the national road champs in Ballarat are a fabulous event these days.  After many decades the Bay crit series are still going strong, while we now have the great new Classic, the Cadel Evans.  And to finish it off, one of the oldest stage races in the world and one of our favourites since we first fell in love with cycling, the Jayco Herald Sun Tour, which now climaxes on the super tough and super scenic Arthurs Seat.

We love it all!
